The Shiloh Project

Teaching juvenile offenders and at-risk youth Compassion, Respect and Responsibility toward animals and others through the experience of socializing and interacting with rescued dogs; Promoting the adoption of homeless companion animals; Encouraging healthy and positive human/animal bonds.

 

Goals

The goals of The Shiloh Project are to provide an opportunity for juvenile offenders and at-risk youth to:


  1. BulletUnderstand animal abuse, its links to human violence and how interaction with animals relates to human relationships.


  1. BulletExperience healthy, non-violent interaction with a companion animal.


  1. BulletLearn proper care and responsibility for companion animals, and prevent animal abuse.


  1. BulletDiscover how to make a difference in the lives of homeless companion animals.

The Shiloh Project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Shiloh, the beloved Minnesota shelter mutt who was the namesake and inspiration for The Shiloh Project.


On May 16, 2003, this amazingly wonderful being passed away.


We honor her memory through The Shiloh Project, the organization she inspired.
